Wonderful antique Neoclassical brass lantern with its original glass, dating from the early 1900s. This pendant light begins with a leaf-and-dart bordered canopy, coming down in chain to affix to a decorative loop finial ornamented with volutes and foliage. The lantern roof below slopes down to a hexagonal overhang with a beautiful, pierced design. The body below features six panels of hammered amber glass, separated by a framework of egg-and-dart trim with petite foliate flourishes. This pendant is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern measures 6-1/4” wide, 11-7/8” tall, and 22” overall.
