A magnificent late 19th century one-light chandelier, originally gas, and now completely wired for electricity. The brass pendant begins with an understated canopy, coming down in a rod to meet an oversized orb flanked with two smaller orbs. A U-shaped rod with foliate detailing descends below the lower orb and extends outwards to support the fixture's original shade. The unusual shade features a grainy texture and panels ornamented ten-pointed stars. This light fixture is in excellent condition and its shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 18-3/4” wide and 32” long overall.
