An elegant antique five-light chandelier with teardrop prisms and its original polychrome finish, dating from the early 1900's. Found in a home in Louisville, KY, the chandelier begins with a canopy enveloped in a ring of simple foliates, coming down in a chain to a decorative loop finial. Below, five scrolling arms extend from the fixture's central baluster-shaped rod and curl upwards to attach to a twisted ring. Each arm supports a leafy downward-facing bobeche hung with beautiful hand-pulled teardrop prisms. Polychrome accents in red and green highlight the fixture throughout. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19-1/2” wide and 19-1/2” tall, and the fixture is 38” long overall.
