A magnificent antique brass eight-light chandelier, originally half gas and half electric, and now completely wired for electricity. Dating from the late 19th Century, the chandelier begins with a sleek canopy, coming down in a square rod to an urn shaped chandelier body. Eight chandelier arms extend straight out from the chandelier; four support chamfered candle cups and the other four support downward facing bobeches with frosted glass shades. This light fixture is in excellent condition. The shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 18” wide and 54-1/4” long overall.
