Splendid antique four light chandelier, dating from the early 1900's, and found in a home in Indianapolis, IN. The chandelier begins with an intricately ornamented canopy, tapering to finish in a foliate finial; four chains descend from its perimeter. The chains affix to the disc-shaped lower body which is ornamented with complementary leaf and dart detailing. The shades suspend from chain below the body and each ones features a beautifully cast framework; white glass panes peek through the pierced sections of the framework . The light fixture is in very good condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass shades are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected flea bites around the rims. The chandelier measures 19" wide and 42-1/4" tall.
