This is a delightful antique four-light chandelier found in a home in Nashville, TN and retaining its original silver-plated finish. Dating from the 1930's, the chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a band of palmettes and comes down in a chain to an over-sized finial accented with petite foliates and volutes. Four leafy wax pans perch around the perimeter of the chandelier's bowl shaped body, the surface of which is ornamented with beautifully cast details in the form of volutes, palmettes, foliates and floral accents. Amethyst teardrop prisms suspend below each wax pan and flank the fixture's crowning finial; a decorative tassel finial completes the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18-1/2” wide and 14-3/4” tall, and the fixture is 33-7/8” long overall.
