Offering a rare, antique figural lawn sprinkler in the form of a squirrel.
These figural lawn sprinklers were normally made of cast iron, but this rare model is not iron. The squirrel is made of a white metal alloy that does not draw a magnet, possibly lead. He is very heavy so I'm going with lead.
He stands about 8" in height and 7 1/2" in length. His forehead has a pattern of holes from which the water originally spurted out. The hose cap under his tail is brass.
The squirrel sprinkler sports a green and gold wash over his body and this coating has survived remarkably well, only rubbed off in a few spots.
He does have a small crack where the tail attaches to the body at the top. This was common to cast metal pieces with extended parts, like the tail on this one. This is however his only real damage. He is otherwise in remarkable condition and still makes a great display piece for the lawn sprinkler collector.
