Offering a large, antique wash basin pitcher.
This pitcher is bottom stamped; CHAMPION, the mark of Richard Champion who had a pottery in Bristol England in the late 1700's.
The pitcher measures 11 1/2" in height with a white - cream base color decorated with a brown transfer of wild poppies. The pitcher is also accented in gold and has some relief work.
The gold trim and the brown flowers have lightly faded in places. The base of the handle has a ragged glaze crack that runs around the handle. The bottom has a spider crack and several surface lines.
Despite its cracks, it is still a wonderful piece full of grace and history.
