Offering a fabulous, art deco, vintage cut glass vanity set.
The set includes five jars and bottles and a silver tone metal carrying case.
I don't know what the metal is but it has no stamps or marks on it and there is some tarnish so perhaps it was once silver plated.
This carrying case measures 10 1/2" in length and about 6" in height. It has a lot of wear on it but is still structurally stable. Each bottle and jar fits neatly into its own space.
The two tallest bottles are colognes with stoppers. Each measures 5 1/2" in height and have a few tiny nicks and sharp spots on the edges of the ornamental cuts. One bottle has a chip on the underside of the lip but that is the only damage.
The next shorter bottle is a perfume but the stopper is gone. It has no chips or nicks.
The jar with the round mouth may have been a hair receiver. I don't know if it ever had a cover. The jar has no nicks or chips.
The diamond shaped jar is an open one that may have held beauty pads or hair pins. No chips or nicks on this one either.
The glass has depth and sparkle and each individual piece has been diamond shaped with the sides cut in individually beveled rectangles accented with stars.
This set belonged to my great aunt and has been dated to about 1915.
