Offering a vintage 1940's music box grand piano. On the underside is a stamp that says: Manufactured by Harry Snider & Co. Toronto - Canada.
This heavy, gilded metal music box has a huge slab of variegated Bakelite for it's cover. This cover is ornamented with a wreath and rolled parchment music. Beneath the heavy cover is a wooden trinket box lined with red velour and a hidden compartment for the movement.
Everything seems in reasonably good condition. No rust or breaks anywhere. The keys are textured paper. The whole music box is solidly built with just some surface wear from the decades.
The music plays well and long, going on for about 6 minutes without stopping. There is a bit of scratchiness in the background but the sound is still clear and lovely. I think there is more than one piece of music here but am not sure.
