Offering a pair of old German, Paul Geissler hand colored etchings.
These etchings are framed and under glass, each measuring 17" X 21".
Each etching is pencil signed by the artist, and the title of each work has also been hand written in pencil.
The subject of each picture is a portrait of a street-side vegetable seller, one an old man and the other an old woman, each standing by their offerings.
I cannot interpret the titles (which I think are in German) but the works speak for themselves in excellence of design and execution. These are portraits so full of expression and meticulous detail, you won't forget them.
Plate marks are clearly visible and the etchings were delicately hand colored.
