Offering an original, vintage 1930's Art Deco lamp from France.
This belonged to my great aunt and it has been in storage since her passing over a decade ago. There was a small, handwritten record of this acquisition, so I know it was purchased in France, and the makers name was Enrique Molins Balleste.
This lamp measures 24" from the onyx base to the top of the light bulb. The arm of the lamp, and the base, appear to be brass, or perhaps plated steel.
The beautiful nude figure is probably spelter than has been bronzed.
The base is a solid block of onyx / alabaster, that measures 2 1/2" in height and 4" in diameter.
The odd bulb was in the lamp socket when I found it. The lamp works wonderfully, the bulb lights up, and the wiring is sound.
The felt covering on the base is discolored and ragged around the rim.
The nude figure is quite lovely and there is nothing broken or repaired although there is some crazing / crackling of the bronze coating.
This heavy lamp works, is solidly put together and has no breaks or repairs.
