The print is a lithograph that was printed from a series of 8 images that all sold out in 1976-78.
Peter Klocksien, an American born painter rendered the series from Edward Curtis photogravures when he was 17 years old, before moving to Santa Fe where he has worked for the last 20 years.
Klocksien’s work has appeared in national publications such as Southwest Art, Art and Antiques, Art in America. His body of work is in private collections in the United States and throughout the world.
The litho is framed and under glass, signed in ink in the print, and beneath that in pencil. Numbered 5/120.
The silver metal frame measures 12" X 16". The visible part of the actual print measures 8 1/2" X 11 1/2". No damage. If you don't want the frame I can remove the art work and mail it without. For international buyers this will greatly decrease the shipping cost.
