Offering an absolutely stunning, vintage 1940's cocktail brooch. This brooch has such intense sparkle that photographing it properly was beyond me.
I need to say right off that the color of this glass brooch is a sparkling lemon yellow. The photos show some green and while there is a tinge of that in the upper layer of rhinestones, it is not as pronounced as the camera flash makes it to be. To the eye, in person, the brooch is clear yellow.
The brooch measures 2 1/4" in diameter and consists of three layers.
The bottom layer is a swirl of 3/4" large pear shaped glass stones, each with a rhinestone embedded in it's tip.
The next layer is a crown of eight rhinestones with a separate, larger one set in the middle.
Every single glass stone is prong set.
This vintage brooch has no missing stones and no structural damage. There is a bit of tarnish on the metal at the back, but nothing serious.
