Offering a fabulous chess set replica from 1963, made by Adult Leisure Products Corporation.
This rare set was reproduced directly from antiquities in the collection of The Museum of the American Indian, New York.
The set is complete with board, and comes in the original box which tells, on the cover, the discovery history of each piece. The set is an exact replica except that the originals in the museum were carved of serpentine and quartzite. It is hard to say what these are carved of. They are not plastic. Maybe resin. The chess pieces are complete and in excellent undamaged shape. Bottoms are felt covered. The Kings measure 5" in height and the pawns 2 1/4".
