For your consideration is this lovely Master Open Salt Dip also known as a Cellar. It is signed W.B. Mfg Co. with the number 3853. The Silver Plated holder has a fancy feather art nouveau design and is footed.
The Cobalt Blue Glass insert has an round bottom and is removable. There are NO chips, NO flea bites and NO repairs. The holder could use a cleaning around the top edge.
The total piece measures about 2 3/4" across and stands about 2" high.
It comes with a lovely Sterling Silver Salt Spoon with the 'Florida' floral design on the handle.
Research indicates W.B. Mfg. Co. stands for Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company operated in Bridgeport, Connecticut from 1901 until the 1950's. This company is a well known for it's artisans and silversmith during the Art Nouveau period. They are known to have made fine heavy (quadruple) silver plated and electro-plated items in the early 1900's
