Here's a handsome sterling silver gravy boat made by Graff, Washbourne & Dunn Of New York City. They were in business making fine sterling holloware from 1899 to 1961. In 1961 they were acquired by Gorham. This piece is probably from the 1920's or 30's. It has a nice form with strong simple lines and a rolled edge around the top. It has a good weight - 231.3 grams or 7.43 troy ounces. The condition is very good with just a few very slight dings. Also it has a monogram on one side - looks like E. M. or M. E. - but it is abstract enough to look like a nice design.
It is marked Sterling on the bottom and also has the maker's mark, and the numbers 4914 / 100.
