Here's a fabulous pair of Victorian cuff buttons with multicolored enameling. Each of the buttons depicts a lovely bird carrying a flower in its beak. They are 1 1/4" in Diameter - so they are about as big as cuff buttons can be. The enamel work has 7 or 8 different colors in it and is beautifully done. They are set in gilt metal.
The condition is good - there are some superficial scratches on the light blue and a few tiny chips but the overall look for the age of these is still very nice. They are from about 1870.
They would look great worn in a button hole or as cuff buttons as originally intended. I just like to look at them!
