Here's a great looking Victorian buckle bangle dating from around 1880. It has an unusual look to it with a beaded edge, ivy leaves hand engraved across the top, and the buckle section is raised from underneath to show the buckle to its best advantage.
The bangle measures 2 1/2" across and 2 1/2" from top to bottom, but for wearing purposes the opening for one's wrist is 2 1/4" across and 1 7/8" from top to bottom. The condition is very good and the clasp clicks shut very well. It is marked inside "silver" and it is sterling silver most probably British - constructed like a number of British bangles I have seen and owned before.
