Here's a simply beautiful sterling silver octagonal vinaigrette made in Birmingham, England in 1846. The workmanship on every side of the piece is stunning. It is covered with complex hand chasing, hand engraving, and engine turning. The pierced grill inside with a network of flowers is also so beautiful.
The interior is hallmarked with the date letter, town mark, Queen's head, and sterling silver mark. The inside is gilded as it should be. It is 1 1/2" long by 7/8", and 5/16" high. The condition is very very good.
