Here's a great looking bronze metal made in 1931 for the 150th anniversary of the 1781 battle of Yorktown where the British surrendered to George Washington. It was made by the artist P. Turin and signed on the back. The metal is also marked "bronze" on the side. The medal is 2 5/8" in diameter and has a nice high relief of the 3 men - Washington, De Grasse-Tilly, and Rochambeau. At the bottom are the Roman numerals for 1931. On the other side is a wonderful map of the battle.
The metal is in good shape with only the slightest dings. The bronze had a nice patina too.
Great gift for a history buff!
