Here's a wonderful example of complex silver filigree work from the early 19th century. It measure 3 3/16" by 2 1/4". The central embossed oval depicts a classic female standing by a tree stump with a harp and a quiver full of arrows. I am trying to find who it is exactly - it creates a beautiful cameo type effect for the focal point of the piece.
The case is in excellent shape and the filigree is all in tact. It would be a great addition to a calling card collection, or for anyone who appreciates the craftsmanship and beauty of the lovely antique.
