Here's a fun little paper mache candy box with good age and quite unusual too. The box is in the form of a stork standing on a post, as if by the water's edge.
It is 4 1/4" high. The base is 2 1/4" by 1 1/2". The stork is made of paper mache and wire for his legs. The post is wood and cardboard. I don't see a stamp on it but it certainly one of German type candy boxes.
The condition is quite good for its age, around 1910 I would say. There is some wear here and there, but the charm is still all there. The box closes nice and tight. It may have been originally made for welcoming a baby. A great collector's addition.
