Here's a great quality pair of sterling and enamel cufflinks made by Garrard & Co. Limited of London, England. Garrard is the oldest operating jeweler in the world, having started in 1735 - and one of the very most prestigious. They are actually charged with the upkeep of the British Crown Jewels, not to mention the place where Prince Charles got Princess Diana's famous engagement ring.
This great pair of guilloche enamel and sterling cufflinks, in a smart looking shade of green, has a star motif. The stars curve around the side of the links in an arc. A number of the stars look like shooting stars with tails. The guilloche enamel creates an under lying layer of tiny dots, creating the effect of more distant stars.
The cufflinks are nice and heavy at 15 grams. They are 6/8" across by 1/2". They are marked Garrard and also "G & Co Ltd". They are fully hallmarked with the lion mark for sterling as well as 925. The date letter appears to be from 1994. They are much younger than many thing I sell - but the quality of workmanship is the main idea here. And their condition is also quite excellent.
