Here's an unusual pair of cloak pins which were meant to hold a cape or cloak together at the top - like a frog clasp would do. The 2 ball topped stick pins are gold filled and have a lovely detailed design over the surface. Each stick pin is 3" long and they are connected by a handsome 10" chain. They are from around 1880.
Clearly today there are many fun ways to wear these today. They could be worn in a knit top or jacket lapel - putting the two pins in and letting the chain hang down. They would look great just on a dresser in a pin cushion.
They are really smart looking, very understated. It's fun to find something different like this.
