Here's a gorgeous little porcelain demitasse coffee cup (or can) and saucer made by Ford's China for the prestigious shop - T. Goode & Co. of London. The cup and saucer are each adorned with 5 rows of wonderful raised turquoise enamel beads or jewels. There are 3 rows of pretty hand painted roses on the cup and saucer as well. And there's gilded detail on the handle and edges of the 2 pieces. It dates from the late 19th century.
T. Goode & Co started in 1827 and has been in its current address in Grosvenor Square in London since 1845. Queen Victoria and the Tzar of Russia were customers and today they have 2 Royal Warrants for Queen Elizabeth ll and Prince of Wales.
The saucer measures 4 3/8" in diameter, the cup is 2 1/8" (not counting the handle). The conditional is excellent. The turquoise beads, the delicate roses, and the gold decoration really make this so striking.
