Here's a crazy novelty piece still on it's original card. The tin character is an Edwardian style guy - he looks like he may have been a Vaudeville star. The colorful tin pin has a hook on the back to "hang in your lapel", as the card says. When you pull his cord he tips his hat. The figure itself is 4 1/4" long. the card he is on is 4" by 5 3/4".
The name How-de-Doody, in this English made piece is close to our much later mid century TV character - Howdy Doody. In any case he is rare and plenty of fun.
The condition is very good - the card has a couple of slight stains, but otherwise it's in very good condition. Can you resist?
