Here's a large and dramatic oil on canvas of the Maine coast line by Maine artist John E. Harris. It measures 30" by 20". I have shown lots of details in the photos so that you can see the strong brush stokes, the power of the waves against the shore, and so many interesting textures and details in this painting. The condition of the painting is very good. Below is a biographical piece I found online.
"John E. Harris is a native of Maine and has been painting in the state since 1950. Born in Ellsworth Maine, he studied black and white rendering at the Wagner School of Art in Boston and painting at the Museum of Fine Arts in Portland. Harris has done many commissions and his paintings hang in many private collections. He is a member of the Copley Society of Boston and Artists Equity."
