Spring is almost here and thoughts of summer and sand pails on the beach. Here's a very unusual pail with a desert scene, kids riding a camel on one side and riding a donkey on the other. Great graphics to show the heat and the sun's rays. The donkey's tongue hangs limply - the boy riding it mops his sweaty brow. The pail (without the handle is 5 1/2" high - 9" counting the handle. It is 5 1/4" in diameter across the top and tapers to a diameter of 3 1/4" on the bottom, The colors are nice and bright - it has only some very slight paint loss on the rim - overall excellent vintage condition.
A very rare pail - I couldn't even find another on the internet. It is most likely from the 1960's, perhaps the 1950's. Great design and lots of fun. It's marked "Foreign" on the side. It was possibly imported into Britain.
This exciting store is an eclectic "Curiosity Shop" for the Lover of wonderful old things.
Lots of variety and a wide range of prices is what we offer. I think it's more fun that way!
