Here's a wonderful floral painting by a late New Jersey artist - Valerie Ploshay. The image is 15 1/2" x 19" and the frame measures 19" x 23 1/2". Valerie Ploshay lived from 1927 to 1999. She was from North Plainfield, New Jersey. Her husband of 50 years, I read, traveled with her throughout the Northeast to sell her oil paintings. This painting of tulips and daisies in a brass bowl has a quiet beauty, one of those easy to live with paintings. The carved wooden frame was a perfect choice for the piece. It is signed by the artist in the lower right hand side. On the back is the artist's label with her address. A little worn away, but readable enough. I found this painting and hung it on the wall to look at it and quite honestly I'd be happy to look at it for a long time if no one snaps this up right away.
