Here's a wonderful large antique tartanware box made to hold cotton, as the British say or thread, as we call it. It was made around 1880. The box is 7 1/2" long by 3 1/2". The tartan is MacBeth - marked "M'Beth" on the top. For a tartan item, it's a nice big size and the it's in quite good overall condition. It even has it's label on top on inside the box. The lid has a lovely curve to it, and the subtle tartan colors add to the beauty. This one speaks for itself.
This exciting store is an eclectic "Curiosity Shop" for the Lover of wonderful old things.
