This a very fine early English silver Christening mug from 1821. The repousse designs are very elaborate and the overall shape is pleasing and different. It is marked with full English hallmarks showing it was made in London in 1821, is made of sterling silver, and the maker's mark appears to be W.A. It is engraved with the initials "H.R." and on the bottom the words read "From W. & L. Wilson 1821". The mug is 3 1/4" high and 3 1/2" at the handle. The top of the cup is 2 5/8" in diameter. The piece weighs 114.80 grams. It's a reaaly special piece of antique silver.
