This mug is a rare treasure for royal commemorative fans. Made in 1863 in honor of the wedding of Victoria's eldest son, the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII) and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. It stands 3 1/4" high and the diameter of the mug is also 3 1/4", not counting the handle. The rich deep blue and the black transferware floral designs make this mug really stunning. The condition is amazing for the age of the piece - it's in very good shape. At 150 years of age - the amount of royal material from this period is fast disappearing. A great addition to a collection.
