Here's a 60 year old child's toy that still is great fun even in our age of technology. The "See and Spell" game made of tin and about 7" by 7" was made in Pittsburgh, Pa. by Wolverine in or around the 1950's. By pulling one of 2 levers a picture appears in the window and by opening the flap above it you can see how the word is spelled. Eventually you could spell it by yourself and check to see if you are right. The spinning action when you pull the lever is very much like a slot machine, where she stops nobody knows. It's a great old toy and lots of fun to use. It's in good shape for it's age and works well. Even if you can spell well it's hard to stop playing with it.
This exciting store is an eclectic "Curiosity Shop" for the Lover of wonderful old things.
