Here's a beautiful cabochon amethyst stickpin set in 14k gold. The cabochon amethyst is oval and is very nicely set in its gold setting. The piece is marked 14k on the back. It measures 2 1/2" long and the stone is slightly less than 5/8" long. The piece weighs 2.1 grams, and it's in very good condition. It dates from at least the 1930's or 40's, and possibly earlier.
