Here's an attractive sterling silver medal given at the Brunswick School track meet in 1931. It was awarded to a Hamilton Adams who attended Yale in later years. The medal is solid silver and has rhodium plating over the silver which was typical of the time. It has its original blue ribbon, with clasp, to wear it. The front of the medal shows a lady holding out a laurel branch which symbolizes triumph in one hand, and in the other hand carries a shield. The medal reads - "Brunswick School - First Annual Track Meet 1931 - Highest total points - Class D - HAMILTON ADAMS". It's also marked with the maker RS - W.D. Webb and sterling. The medal itself is 1 1/4" in diameter. and weighs 17.7 grams by itself.
The medal is on its original velvet covered card.
