Handsome English Sterling Silver Cigarette Case Dated 1918

Here's a handsome sterling silver cigarette case. It is hand engraved on the front and the back with an elaborate design, similar to a paisley design. The inside is gilded, and there are hallmarks inside for sterling silver, the date letter of 1918, and the city mark for Birmingham. The case is 3 1/2" by 2 7/8" and it's approximately 1/2" thick. The case is curved in order to make it fit well in a pocket. The case weighs 75.4 grams or 2.42 troy ounces. It is monogrammed - the initial are perhaps T.M. It's a very stylized monogram that more like a design than letters - which is probably a good thing. The monogram is set in a shield shape and all the rest of the hand engraving front and back is the ornate paisley design. The condition is very good - only a few slight scratches for its 103 years.
