Here's a good looking stoneware salt glazed canning jar. It's 7 1/2" high and 4 1/4" in diameter. It weighs over 3 pounds. The lid has a metal top that allows you to open the jar by turning the lid to the three grooves in the lid, and close it by turning it back. It opens and closes easily and is nice and tight when closed.

The jar has a number impressed on the side under the glaze, it's hard to make out. The jar is in excellent condition and very useable. I think it has a great look.
