Here's a good looking shield shape fraternity plaque from a Yale man dated 1936. The plaque is made of wood and bronze. The fraternity seems to be a secret one, there are quite a few at Yale. I certainly welcome any information on the fraternity or the plaque.
The plaque measures 14 1/2" high by 12" wide. On the back is the maker's label - L.G. Balfour Company of Attleboro, Mass. The plaque belonged to a James Bertram Fullman and is dated 1936 with an "S" or possibly a "5" near the date. He definitely went to Yale - I even have some of the checks he wrote to the University.
It's a piece with a bit of mystery but to some it would be quite a great find.
