Here's a wonderful pair of early buckles for a man's shoe or boot from the Georgian period - 18th century. They are made of steel and are silver plated on outer frame. They measure 3 1/8" long by 2 7/8" in width.
They are in very good condition with only minimal wear. I love the scale of these and the workmanship with the scalloped edge in the center and the octagonal form. So rare for them to still be together and in good shape.
