This is a lovely pair of Victorian Wedding Slide Bracelets. Made in Rolled Gold during the ROMANTIC PERIOD 1837-1860. This set would have been purchased by a gentleman for his intended. The bride would wear one during the engagement period and on on her first day as a married women her husband would present her with the second to wear.
This set is in remarkably good condition. These sets are nearly impossible to find. How many complete sets have you seen. Like me, probably, not many. This set is just lovely and is a perfectly matched set.
I wear a 7” line/tennis bracelet comfortably. This set is very adjustable. If you wear a 6 1/2” or 8” or more, you can adjust the bracelets with the slide mechanism. It always amazes me when I find items that are as old as this set, yet they look barely worn, like new. Someone loved this set! I am offering free shipping on this set. It will need a signature confirmation.
CONDITION: One of the bottom tassels has one tiny strand of wire that was not tied off when made. I did not see it until I looked at my photographs. I am including this information to be very complete about condition. No problems noted ready to use, display and enjoy. If you would like any other camera angle please just email me. I would be happy to take additional shots. The velvet display piece is not included in this sale.
Payment expected at time of purchase for single item purchases - I would be happy to help set up a layaway plan that works for you and me
