This Aesthetic Movement Oil Lamp in the Fan Pattern was made circa 1878. The Thomas Elsmore & Son company made this pattern in Brown and White and Blue and White Transferware. We love this Aesthetic Pattern with Fans, Bamboo and Cherry Blossoms in Brown and White Transferware. This English Staffordshire brown transfer aesthetic movement lamp is also known as the Formosa pattern. It comes complete with its original chimney. This pattern was a complete table setting when Elsmore first introduced it. You could over time put together a nice set in this wonderful pattern. I had this same style of Aesthetic period oil lamp in the past that someone electrified. It makes a gorgeous table lamp.
DIMENSIONS: Lamp: 11” with burner 13” X Chimney is 10 3/8” tall
CONDITION: It has no chips or breaks. It does have some crazing. There is some darkening near the base of the porcelain.
