This is a Victorian EAPG Cruet Swirled Rope Pattern. Made with a 3 piece mold, this early cruet is done in a swirl rope with bubble at the base pattern. I have been unable to find the official pattern name. It has a polished pontle on the bottom. It has started to turn purple. The stopper is a simple large flat faceted pattern and fits perfectly. I do believe it is original to the cruet. It was made in a 2 piece mold.
DIMENSIONS: just shy of 7” with stopper in place, 5” tall to top of pour spout X aprox. 4” wide
CONDITION: I have soaked it with clear vinegar which helped, but if you soaked it for a week or so with vinegar the minor cloud would, I believe go away. The stopper is rough on the insert end, a few chips from useage. The stopper top area is in good shape.
