How dear is this Vintage Small Painting of an Early New Hampshire Cape Home with Bridge Over the Brook? This is an early piece of Fungus Art, by the looks and feel it is circa 1900. I recently was lucky to find 3 pieces of early folk fungus art. This one is the middle sized of the group. The painting is of a early cape style home with a brook running next to it. There is a bridge over the brook and several trees. Evergreens frame the sides of the little painting. This art form is something one finds here in the east but rarely does one find 3 good early pieces. I feel confident they were done by the same artist. The 2 larger ones are artist signed. The medium sized one, the one for sale in this listing is marked M. D. Rand, the largest says Great Grand Mother Rand 89 years. The smallest one is not signed.
DIMENSIONS: 4 7/8” wide x 3 3/8” tall
CONDITION: lovely vintage condition.
