We are delighted to offer you this 1930s Hunting Lodge Real Photo Father & Son Many Animals Hanging - Bear Deer Rabbits. This is just a wonderful photo of another time in America. By the clothing on the child I’m guessing it was taken in the 1930s. It was taken here in northern New Hampshire. The man is squatting down and has his rifle across his lap. The child has a small hand gun (toy?) in his hands. My feeling is that this was taken in the early part of the winter/late fall season. Hunting season here is September thru November. There is snow on the ground but the lake behind the lodge is not frozen. There is a pair of adult sized snow shoes leaning against a tree. The animals in the picture are many and include 3 deer and a bear many rabbit. There are also a number of skinned animals including another bear and several raccoons. There was no limit on the number of animals you could kill and people were feeding their families and selling the skins to fur dealers. If you are decorating a lodge for hunters or outdoor people this would not only fit right in ,it would be a talked about piece.
