SOLD Aesthetic Movement Ridgeway Pineapple Pattern Covered Dish and Matching Platter SOLD
I recently purchased this wonderful Aesthetic Movement Ridgeway Pineapple Pattern Covered Dish and Matching Platter. Using the registration diamond these pieces date to October 9 1871. The given name of the pattern is "Cenis." Pineapples are the sign of the gracious hostess welcoming guests to her home. The handles and finial on the covered dish are a modified buckle style. The dish fits nicely on the platter. The colors are built on a white soft paste and are brown and white with the yellow of the fruit and green of the leaves. I have never run across this pattern before and can only think that it must have been a glorious table setting. These pieces will be the centerpiece of your transfer collection. It is worthy of being the star of your sideboard or table.
