We are so pleased to offer this group of 4 Victorian Hand Towels All White, they are group 1 in my inventory. I am listing a number of groups of vintage linens. I have so many full boxes that the only way to sell them before I turn 600 years old, is to do them in groups. Do take a look if your looking for Victorian hand towels, doilies, runners and the like. All of these pieces could use a laundering. I have noted condition on each piece. If you need more photos I will try to do better. Whites are not easy to photograph. I have done my best to describe each piece as to pattern, fabric, size and condition.
This group of 4 Victorian small hand towels include some of my favorites.
#1 Very white w/hand crotchet edge. It has one row of pulled work above the edge. The towel measures 22 ½" x `13" wide. It has one very tiny hole, no stains
#2 Oatmeal colored huck cotton. The edge has a fleur d'lis pattern in it. It measures 21" long x 31" wide. No stains or other damage.
#3 The color is slightly off white. There is a lovely crotchet strip inset above the edge. It measures 24" long x 30" wide No stains or other damage.
#4 Super white damask linen. The pattern woven into the fabric is polka dots in the center with a row of Pansies in full bloom. This towel measures 25" long x 18'" wide. The towel does have some very light yellowing. It should wash up nicely
