This Antique Light Blue Transferware Creamer has a Dolphin Handle and is dated between the 1820s to the 1850s. This transferred pattern is so reminiscent of Davenports “Bird and Urn” pattern of the mid - 1830s. As with all the transfer patterns during the 1800s, a tweak here and blossom there and it’s some other potteries pattern. The body of the creamer is graceful and rounded, it has a nice wide lip for pouring. There is a tiny incised H in the clay and an ink mark ,the number 35. The dark spot you see in the spout area is under the glaze.
