This sweet Vintage Pin Cushion Ladies Shoe Circa 1919 is Japanese. The shoe has a clear mark impressed on the bottom. The cloth covering of the cushion was probably a short cut olive green velvet when new. It is down to the threads and does have one small hole, please note photos. The finish on the shoe looks like a silver plate with no loss of silvering. I suspect it’s just some form of white metal. There is no metal content marking. Very nice form and size. Found on page 15 of Sewing Tools and Trinkets by Thompson, it was made circa 1919. I also have the mens shoe in this style in my shop. What a cute pair!
