This little bag comes from the estate of Tina, a delightful older lady that only used it a few times because as she said, "I got it from my grandmother and she only used it when it was a very special evening ."
Although the design has an Art Deco ' fan ' style about it Tina, believed the purse was made Circa 1900 so it would be Victorian or Edwardian.
This bag twinkles with the smallest amount of light.
The thread that holds the bead are a tea color to an ivory color, depending on the light it is given. In some light the whole purse looks silver.
This piece has been well cared for and feels as rich as it looks.
The beads are steel cut and it's scalloped shape is delightfully charming!
Signed GER Silver and Bostonia
Perfect year around to use at a formal event or sport it with jeans and a cute shirt.
The piece measure just shy of 8" total length and is just about 4" from the frame's clasp down and just about 3 1/4" at it's widest points.
Good Antique Condition. on of the loops on the frame is open but it clearly a manufacturer defect and doesn't seem to affect the purse.
